    Notes:

Joseph is not likely the son of Warren & Grace, as that one was a shoemaker, wheras our Joseph was a blacksmith. It is strange that Warren is not our Joseph's father since his son was named George Warren. Maybe the shoemaker occupation mentioned above was incorrect. [Feb 2011 research on NEHGS web shows a family of Warren & Grace Pool having a son Joseph W. in 1810 in Weymouth, and that son married Rachel Blanchard in 1837 in Weymouth, and then in 1843 Warren Jr. aka Joseph died in Weymouth. This would say the Warren & Grace Pool are not our family line.]

2 marriages in Malden give possible parents for our Joseph, although they do not have to be from Malden, as Joseph appears to be from Boston. Joseph Eaton Pool of Reading m. Lydia Hayward of Malden, in Malden by Rev. C. Prentice, 25 Oct 1786. Other is Lot Pool, of Newton, 64, a widow, m. Mrs Fanny Oliver, of Malden, 52, 2 jul 1848 by Rev. C. B. Smith.

on the 1810 census there are 3 Pool families in Boston, Thomas, William, & Sylvanus. On the 1820 census William Poole is the most likely family, assuming they were still in Boston.

Newspaper article Joseph Warren Pool Esq. 34 [1809], at Weymouth died. Date: 1843-06-26; Paper: Boston Evening Transcript. [so he is not our Joseph] Sept 2011.
