    Notes:

    There is no direct proof that the William Cocking who is the father of Stephen is the one who married Sarah Dyas. This baptism record is selected based on the 1851 census which records William's birthplace as Tealby, coupled with the use of Fenwick for middle names of some of his descendants. Also the "F" of his middle name is assumed to refer to Fenwick. Mar 2011. Jim Ward.

    Died after the 1851 census, when he was living with son Stephen in Fotherby, age 65. In 1857 there is a property sale in Fotherby of the nursery lands of a Mr. Cocking, suggesting this might be the year William died. June 2013.
