344 | 1923 ~ BAYER ~ 2011, Mr. Edward "Ed" Albert Bayer, beloved husband of Mrs. Helen Bayer of Medicine Hat, passed away on Friday, October 14th, 2011 at the age of 88 years. Ed also leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Fred (Helen) Bayer and Oscar (Marg) Bayer; one sister, Edna Kanewischer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was born on May 7th, 1923 in Surprise, Saskatchewan. He farmed in the Richmound area until his retirement at which time he moved to Medicine Hat. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, on Tuesday from 12:00 to 12:55 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Tuesday, October 18th, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Julianna Wehrfritz-Hanson officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Ed's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society (Palliser Region), 401D - 3rd Street SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 0G8, or to the Parkinson Alberta Society, #101, 928 Allowance Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 3G7.
