[it is possible that the Thomas Cocking who married Sarah Stourton is not the son of Thomas & Esther, since he may not be old enough, and there is also a marriage in Tealby between a Thomas Cocking and Mary Tinclar (sic), on 2 July 1778, suggesting there are other Cocking families here at this time.]

    • It is very possible that this Thomas Cocking is not the one who married Sarah Stourton. Michael Read (2011) suggests the Thomas who married Sarah was born c1753 in Tealby, the son of Thomas & Mary. He also is suggesting that his Thomas also married Mary Tinclar of Tealby and Ann Bratley of Grimoldsby. He said the signatures looked the same.
