    • The researcher of this tree: [http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/s/h/o/Richard-P-Showers/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0254.html. ] believes the William Ward, father of Alfred Charles, is the son of Henry Ward who married Mary Glasscock. I do not have it this way, since Wm Ward, c1811, who married Jane Shelton in Tottenham gave Henry Ward, bricklayer as his father, it is likely that the Wm who married Sarah Quilter was the son of Silvanus. Mar 2012. Having looked at the marriage record between William & Sarah Quilter in Braintree on 30 Dec 1836, it is recorded as William WOOD, and this is clear however he did not sign his name so cannot be 100% sure it is Wood, although they were both listed as of this parish [Braintree], which I believe excludes the marriage.
