    Obituary:
BUCAR, Patricia Mary (nee Nesbitt) February 18, 1931 - August 12, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of Patty Bucar announce that their matriarch and mentor passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2010 at the wise old age of 79 years. Patty was born in High River, Alberta and raised in Nanton, Alberta. She married Stan Bucar in 1948 and together they opened and operated a Bakery in Nanton, Alberta. Later, they moved to Calgary to start their family and Patty then took on the role of housewife and mother. Together with her late husband, Stan Bucar, they started selling used cars and eventually established Bucars RV, the renowned Calgary based Recreational Vehicle Company. Summers would be spent traveling across Canada and the U.S. in their recreational vehicle while basking in the balmy Hawaiian weather was a favorite winter pastime. Besides being a loving mother to Doug, Brian and Heather and a devoted wife, her civic mindedness took her to volunteering at the Gift store at the Foothills Hospital with the proceeds benefiting the Hospital's good work in the 1970's. Patty enjoyed both bowling and curling in her active years and was a member of the Fairview Ladies' Bowling League. Patty will be sadly missed by her three children, Douglas (Ken), Brian (Bonnie) and Heather (Rick); three grandchildren, Shane, Chad (Tanya) and Tyler (Debbie); two great-grandchildren, Xavier and Kaydence and last but not least, Simba, her pet dog and companion. Patty also leaves behind brother Thomas Nesbitt (Gwen). She was predeceased by her husband Stan Bucar on August 14, 2006 and her elder brother, Ted Nesbitt, in 2008. A special thank you to Dr. Samuel Schorr, Renal Specialist and Dr. Watson and the staff at Unit 37 Renal Unit, Foothills Hospital. If so desired, a memorial tribute may be made in Patricia Bucar's name directly to the Kidney Foundation of Canada (6007 - 1A Street S.W., Calgary, Alberta, T2H 0G5), Calgary Humane Society (4455 - 110 Avenue S.E., Calgary, Alberta, T2C 2T7) or a charity of your choice. A private Service will be set at a later date. To email expressions of sympathy: mountainview@arbormemorial.com, Subject heading: Patricia Bucar. Arrangements entrusted to MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME and CEMETERY, 1605 - 100 Street S.E. (17 Avenue S.E. at Garden Road), Calgary.
